Why hyperbaric oxygen therapy is one of wellness's fastest-growing tools and why your body needs it now.
HBOT hyperbaric oxygen therapy Now in the heart of Cork
This isn't a trend. The global hyperbaric oxygen therapy market has grown exponentially in 2026, and outpatient clinics and home-based use are now among the fastest-growing ways people access it ! not hospitals, not emergency medicine, but everyday people choosing it as part of how they take care of themselves.
Why? Because the science behind it is simple and real: more oxygen, delivered under pressure, reaches the tissue your body struggles to supply on its own — fuelling repair, calming inflammation, and restoring what stress, age, and life wear down.
It's not a quick fix. It's not hype. It's a therapy with real clinical history, now becoming part of how people maintain their health proactively — not just treat it reactively.
Take control of your health.
Fight inflammation
Mind brainhealth.

Nerve Damage After Chemotherapy & Recovery After Radiotherapy
Many people who undergo chemotherapy experience chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy (CIPN) — nerve damage that can persist long after treatment has finished. Common symptoms include burning feet and hands, numbness and tingling, nerve pain, and loss of balance or sensitivity. Research suggests that 30-40% of chemotherapy patients develop long-term neuropathy.
Radiotherapy, while life-saving, can also leave lasting effects on surrounding tissue — including sensitivity, poor circulation, fatigue, inflammation and restless sleep.
How HBOT May Support Recovery
Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy is one of the most researched complementary supports for post-radiotherapy recovery. In the United States, it is recognised by the Undersea and Hyperbaric Medical Society as a standard of care for late radiation tissue injury, with over 1,300 facilities actively supporting cancer survivors.
A 2024 randomised clinical trial published in JAMA Oncology examined HBOT and late toxic effects in patients with irradiated breast cancer, adding to a growing body of peer reviewed evidence.
A Cochrane Review on HBOT for late effects of radiotherapy found that HBOT may support healing of radiation damaged tissue and improve quality of life for survivors.
At Oxygen Cove Wellness we work alongside your medical team πΏnot instead of them. We are a complementary wellness support, and many of our clients come to us during and after treatment reporting improvements in energy, sleep, circulation and overall wellbeing over their course of sessions.
Individual results vary. This is not a substitute for medical advice. Always consult your medical team.
Supporting Recovery After Radiotherapy
Radiotherapy can sometimes leave surrounding tissues damaged due to reduced blood flow and oxygen supply.
Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) helps increase the amount of oxygen carried in the bloodstream, flooding affected tissues with oxygen and supporting circulation in areas that have been stressed by treatment.
By improving oxygen delivery, HBOT may help support the body’s natural healing processes and tissue recovery after radiotherapy.

β¨οΈOur story ;
OxygenCoveCork was born from a deeply personal journey — one rooted in a relentless search for wellness, strength, and vitality.β¨οΈ
After facing significant physical challenges myself, I became determined not to let discomfort define my life. I didn’t want to live in limitation or keep saying no to the things that lit me up. Instead, I chose to explore every possible avenue that could support me in feeling better, stronger, and more resilient.β¨οΈ
That journey led me into the world of wellness and recovery — not as a trend, but as a necessity. Along the way, I discovered therapies, tools, and practices that genuinely helped me cope, including Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy. It became one of the key pillars in my ongoing wellness routine a quiet, powerful ally in my mission to stay on top of my health and energy.β¨οΈ
Some call it biohacking. I call it taking full ownership of how I feel, what I do, and how I show up in life. It’s about making conscious choices every day β¨οΈwhat you eat, how you move, how you breathe, how you rest β¨οΈ and creating your own path to vitality.β¨οΈ
OxygenCoveCork is my way of sharing β¨οΈwhat I’ve learned. We offer a serene, welcoming space where others can explore this therapy too — safely, gently, and at their own pace. Whether you’re on a similar journey or simply curious about new ways to support your well-being, you are warmly welcome here.β¨οΈ

Compression recovery boots use gentle sequential pressure to support circulation, venous return, and the movement of lymphatic and interstitial fluid through the legs.
This mechanical lymphatic stimulation may help:
β Move lymphatic fluid
β Move interstitial fluid
β Improve venous return
β Reduce pooling in the legs
β Support natural lymphatic drainage
β Help swollen tissue clear fluid more efficiently
β Reduce feelings of heaviness and fatigue
Several of our menopause clients recently reported that their legs felt lighter, less swollen, and more comfortable after using our compression recovery boots.
